"A student learns best when they are able to feel and internalize what a correct motion feels like, what an incorrect one feels like, and can tell the difference between the two. A correct feeling without an incorrect one to go along with it to give it meaning is pointless. There are three possibilities for everything in golf: there's one extreme, the other extreme, and a happy medium. As long as the student remains inside the extremes, they will be able to hit a good shot. Impact is the most important part of the swing and having fun is the most important part of the game.
I get to know the student so I can better help them reach their goals. I make them feel as comfortable as possible during the lesson and encourage them, and not just when they hit a good shot. I observe the swing, find the most critical errors, and then together we form a plan for improvement. I patiently help them discover the correct feelings as well as the incorrect feelings, so they can make the right motion.”
